2007 Year in Review

In an attempt to quickly get caught up, here are some photos and comments recapping 2007.

In late January, we had a joint birthday party for David and our friend, Courtney. David really enjoys Indian food, but it's not one of my favorite cuisines (bad curry incident). But since the two of them really like it, we went all out and catered an Indian dinner and provided saris for all! This is David and Courtney standing next to their chocolate Taj Majal cake. It was yummy!

Below are all the saris being modeled. Even 10-month-old Elisabeth got a sari and a bindi!

In March, Breyten's Pre-K class had a science fair at which the kids were able to participate in different experiements. Here Breyten learns about dissolving solids in liquids.

In late March, we headed out to my dad's farm in western Pennsylvania for a long weekend.

While at the farm, we took advantage of a barn full of hey and jumped from the hey loft. Here you can see Breyten in mid air amidst the hey dust.

Breyten and mom take a break from the new Xtreme sport of hey-loft-jumping for a snuggle.

The farm is only 10 minutes drive from Poland, Ohio, where I grew up. While there, we got together for a Poland High School 15 year girls' reunion at my friend Alicia's house. Pictured in the front row are Stacey and Kristin. In the back row are me, Alicia, Ann, Niki, and Sandra.

After 15 years, a few kids were born! Below is the 3 and over contingency of our kids. From L-R are Quinn and Reese (Stacey), Dylan and Dalton (Sandra), Greer (Stacey), Breyten (Me), and Nate (Alicia). Not pictured are Lola, Logan, Leanne, Andrew, and Anthony (all babies and not yet walking).

Breyten discovers what kind of loot the Easter Bunny left him.

In April we took a trip to Pittsburgh. While we were there, we enjoyed a gorgeous spring day at Beechwood Farms.

Memorial Day weekend brought us back tot he farm. Here Breyten attempts to catch some frogs and tadpoles. We were able to create quite an aqarium while we were there including many bullfrog tadpoles, a little frog, and a couple salamanders.

In July Gagi came for a visit and we went to the zoo for the day with Clint, Traci, and Greyson.

Breyten and Greyson got along famously, later that night running and shouting themselves silly.

Breyten enjoying the prairie meadow at a park in our neighborhood.

Breyten and mommy get in the mood for Halloween after carving pumpkins. This year Breyten was black Spider-man and our 23 lb. cat, Neige, was a lobster. No joke! He was the only cat dressed for the holiday in the neighborhood :)

In November, Breyten turned 6! If you didn't already see the pictures, see my previous post that includes an album of his first day of kindergarten.
