Happy Fall!

Yay! It's fall! Our favorite time of the year! School is back in full swing. Breyten is enjoying first grade, and is working hard on his writing and reading. It's so much fun to see him learn and gain autonomy and confidence in doing these tasks. Ada is as alert as ever, resisting sleep whenever she can. She doesn't want to miss a beat. She enjoys rolling over, being tickled, baby-talking, laughing at her brother, pulling her pacifier out of her mouth and then putting it back in, and copious amounts of attention. Fortunately for her, her big blue eyes seem to be a beacon for grown-ups and kids alike to swarm around her and give her all the attention she desires.

Breyten writes a letter to Santa, yes, Santa. He's already planning for the jolly elf's visit, making sure that Santa knows that he'll be in South Africa for Christmas this year and that he'll need presents distributed to mom's, dad's, and granny's houses this year.


Ada is a happy, happy girl. She's content to hang out and take it all in.
